Recent reports revealed that Reshammiya’s decision to forego his fees has significantly contributed to recouping the film’s Rs. 20 crore budget ahead of its release.

The recovery of the production budget has been facilitated by the filmmakers’ astute financial strategies, strategic partnerships, and Reshammiya’s generous contribution. In addition to starring in the lead role, he has composed and sung for the film. Himesh opted for a profit-sharing arrangement with the production team instead of charging fees.

“Badass Ravi Kumar” boasts a total of 16 songs, including a standout seven-song medley, all under his label, Himesh Reshammiya Melodies. This musical element greatly enhances the film’s commercial appeal. Despite its nostalgic charm and international shooting locations, the production was completed on a budget-friendly basis, thanks to meticulous planning over the past year to eliminate waste and overspending.

Moreover, the production costs have been entirely offset by revenue from music rights sales and shooting subsidies from Oman, where filming took place. As a result, any income generated from theatrical releases, digital platforms, and satellite rights will contribute directly to the film’s profits.

Set against the backdrop of the 1980s, Badass Ravi Kumar carries the tagline 80s type ki picture, promising audiences a nostalgic cinematic experience reminiscent of that era, drawing inspiration from the grand styles of filmmakers like Feroz Khan and Rajiv Rai.
